Brent Genesis

Principal

Business aviation veteran Brent Genesis founded Genesis Aviation as a unique response to the needs of private and business aircraft users.

Genesis Aerial Exploration was a natural addition to the Genesis family. Through a series of relationships formed in his Aviation tenure, Brent initially began within the drone sector, offering consulting and safety advice to this up-and-coming technology.

This transitioned into the forming of the business around the mining and resource sector augmented by his friendship and business colleague William Sattlegger, P. Geo.

Brent has many years of experience with a proven track record as a charter sales leader with some of Canada’s largest business aircraft operators.

Having dealt with diverse aircraft fleets, from TurboProp aircraft servicing oilfield support, Light to Large Cabin Jets saving precious time for senior oil and gas executives, to Regional Aircraft taking a group of friends on a fishing trip, he has experience with a broad range of travel profiles.

Brent has developed and sold in the Fractional Aircraft Ownership market, and energy and mining operators have benefitted from his direction and support through the re-commissioning of their private airstrips.

A native Albertan, Brent, his wife and their three children live in the Calgary area. He is the past chair of the Board of Directors for the Calgary International Airport Chapel. Brent is also a committee member for the Calgary Chapter of Ducks Unlimited Canada’s Annual Fundraising Dinner.

William R. Sattlegger, B.Sc., Hons., P. Geo.

Business & Technical Advisor, Aerial Exploration Division

William is a practicing professional geoscientist (APEGA) with 39 years of experience within the energy & minerals sectors.

His career includes senior technical and executive roles, including serving as an Officer and Director (including Audit, Governance and Reserves Committees) with private and publicly listed corporations.

William has extensive experience across the energy sector including exploration, development, enhanced recovery schemes, vertical & horizontal drill programs, field operations and asset management, regulatory compliance, and liability mitigation.

William provides project design and management, property evaluations including the design of geoscience & geophysical surveys, plus advisory services to mineral operating corporations.

His expertise includes due diligence of independent third-party evaluation reports, technical/financial corporate information for institutional, accredited and retail investors.

Additionally, William has extensive experience instituting investor relations strategies, financings, and corporate development initiatives across the Americas & European jurisdictions.

Kent Lappin

Aerial Exploration Coordinator

Kent is a trained commercial pilot with a background in economics and computer science. With a mind for safety and a detail-oriented approach, he will ensure that each one of your specific needs are met.

Kent is a dedicated problem solver and he will work hard to make sure you are getting the best option available. Kent is also a fast learner and is quick to adapt to any situation or changes in the market.

Heather Genesis

Finance

Heather has been a part of the Genesis Aviation Team since its inception 6 years ago. Coming from a medical education, she has been able to transfer her critical thinking and strong interpersonal skills to the very relational and service driven industry of business aviation.

She enjoys her roles in Finance and as Account Manager. Heather’s flexibility, friendliness and high level of professional courtesy, has created strong relationships with clients and staff and has been a fundamental part of the family environment you experience at Genesis Aviation.

Out of the office, Heather is a wife and mother of 3 almost teenagers, and is a partner in Prairie Shadow Weimaraners. Her hobbies are her children and she enjoys helping to coach and cheer them on in their extracurricular activities.
